WHATZ Hong Kong is an inclusive platform that champions diversity and contemporary artistic dialogue, inviting creators from all backgrounds to share their unique perspectives and vision.
WHATZ Hong Kong is dedicated to discovering and nurturing emerging artists from China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan. Through a curated jury of respected art professionals and academic experts, selected talents will receive exposure, mentorship, and opportunities to connect with galleries—empowering them to take bold steps toward a thriving career in the global art world.

Eligibility
1. Independent creative individuals or groups born after January 1, 1980.
2. For group applicants, each creator must meet the above qualifications and fill in the team name, representative information and a list of all creators when registering.

Important Notes

The jury will consist of curators, scholars, and industry experts.

The selection results will be announced on the official WHATZ website. Unselected applicants will not be notified individually.

Selected artists are required to participate in the setup, exhibition, and takedown.

All exhibited works must be available for sale. Artists will retain 60% of the sales revenue from any transactions.

The organizer will cover transportation and accommodation during the exhibition period (September 25 to 29). However, shipping and setup are the responsibility of the artist.
A total of 9 selected artists are expected to participate in WHATZ Art Fair, held from September 26 to 28, 2025, at Conrad Hong Kong. Their works will be showcased across three exhibition rooms.

Awarded works will be officially exhibited at Conrad Hong Kong. If a selected artist is unable to participate, an alternate candidate will be invited as a replacement.

During the exhibition period, the works may not be simultaneously signed for exhibition or sales representation by any other organization.

Winners must agree to authorize WHATZ Art Fair to use images of their works for marketing and promotional purposes (including printed materials, social media, videos, etc.).

All works must be original. Any violation will result in disqualification and may lead to replacement by another participant.
