Who We Are
Established in 2020 by a collective of passionate art enthusiasts, WHATZ is committed to promoting contemporary Taiwanese art by discovering and showcasing outstanding works from local talents. We actively support and nurture emerging artists and curators, fostering diverse perspectives and expanding creative horizons. At the same time, we aim to deepen international artistic exchange and collaboration, injecting new energy and possibilities into Taiwan’s art landscape.
As the first Taiwan-based hotel art fair to expand internationally, WHATZ serves as a vibrant platform for cross-disciplinary dialogue and creative synergy. Our Vision

Shaping the Future of Art
Each year, WHATZ launches with a fresh theme, integrating art fairs, digital communities, emerging collectors, and nonprofit art institutions. We aim to embed ourselves within the broader art ecosystem, encouraging diverse forms of artistic exchange while exploring innovative exhibition formats and forward-thinking presentation models.

Nurturing Emerging Artists and Curators
Building on the momentum of the “WHATZ Rising Star” Award, we are committed to supporting the next generation of artists. We assist emerging talents in entering the art industry by facilitating gallery partnerships and providing opportunities to showcase their work at our main fair. In parallel, we empower young curators with practical platforms to realize their visions, encouraging them to merge artistic innovation with commercial potential.

Strengthening Global Artistic Exchange and Collaboration
With Taiwan at its core, WHATZ actively expands its international reach by inviting promising artists from around the world and enhancing regional diversity among participants. We are also forging partnerships with hotel art fairs across Asia, aiming to raise global visibility for Taiwanese art and amplify its cultural influence on the international stage.
